Naya Weber is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) serving families in Austin, TX. Services provided include prenatal and back-to-work education, and prenatal and postpartum consultations.
Naya received her lactation education through the University of California at San Diego's Hybrid Pathway 2 Lactation Consultant Program, a LEAARC approved lactation course. Over 300 hands-on clinical hours were completed with Breastfeeding Success Company, under the supervision of Janet Jones, IBCLC and Lauren Reyes, IBCLC. In addition to being an IBCLC, Naya also holds a Certificated Lactation Educator and Counselor (CLEC) from UC San Diego, and has received additional training in perinatal mood disorders.
Naya is the mother to two breastfed boys and a self described "boob nerd." Her personal experience includes breastfeeding the late preterm infant, returning to work, and tongue and lip ties. She has previously facilitated a weekly mom-to-mom breastfeeding support group and worked at a non-profit human milk bank. Naya and her family live in southwest Austin. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, naps, and writes the blog Lactivist in Louboutins. She is on the board for the Central Texas Breastfeeding Coalition and the Texas Breastfeeding Coalition, and a volunteer leader for Partners in Parenting.
Naya's goal is to empower families experiencing breastfeeding difficulty with knowledge and support.
