Insurance & Self Pay

Insurance

It’s More Than Milk partners with The Lactation Network (TLN) to provide in-network lactation services to families with many Anthem BCBS PPO, BCBS PPO, Provider Network of America (PNOA), Multiplan, and United Healthcare plans (PPO and HMO).

For families with Cigna, we work with Wildflower Health (WH)

We do not work with Aetna or Medicaid at this time.

Please note pre-approval must be obtained online prior to the visit for 100% coverage.

A travel fee may apply to some home visits, regardless of coverage through The Lactation Network or Wildflower Health.

Self Pay

If you have a plan that is not covered by The Lactation Network or Wildflower Health, self pay/private pay services are available. You will be provided with an itemized super bill to file a claim. The super bill contains the info your insurance provider needs to reimburse you. Please submit this to your provider along with any specific forms they may have on their website.

Insurance coverage can vary greatly from plan to plan. It is the responsibility of the client to be informed about their specific plan covers. It can be helpful to call member services and ask about the process for submitting for out-of-network reimbursement, as every insurer does it a little differently.

Please note that It’s More Than Milk does not submit this information for you. The responsibility for insurance reimbursement is yours.

All fees are due at time of appointment unless alternate plans have been set up ahead of time.

If you are experiencing true financial difficulty, sliding scale rates are available and payment arrangements can be made prior to the visit. This includes bartering for products or services that are equivalent in value.

Payment is expected at the time of the visit, by cash, HSA/FSA card, or credit card. Electronic payment such as Venmo and PayPal are also accepted.

We believe that every family should be able to get the lactation support they need.
